Terms
I know that terms and conditions aren’t exactly the most exciting things to read. In fact, most of us tend to skip over them entirely. But they’re here for a reason: these simple guidelines are just to make sure we’re on the same page and to avoid any misunderstandings along the way. They are all pretty straightforward, and although they may seem a bit dull they help keep things smooth, clear, and hassle-free for both of us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Personalised Support
I aim to provide tailored, one-on-one mentoring, academic coaching and study support to students of university age and above. My services include guidance on study strategies, exam preparation, time management, and providing a friendly and supportive ear. The goal is to help you become a more effective, confident, and independent learner.
-
I aim to offer a fully personalised service so the advice, coaching, and feedback you receive will be tailored to meet your unique needs and goals.
-
While I work with you to give you the best possible support, it is important to remember that your effort and engagement play a crucial role in your success.
No Guaranteed Results
While I am fully committed to helping you achieve your academic goals, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes or grades. Success in your studies depends on a range of factors, including your own efforts, the specific requirements of your course or exams and circumstances that are beyond either of our control.
-
My focus is on providing you with the tools, strategies, and motivation to enhance your learning experience.
-
However, academic results are ultimately your responsibility, and while I’ll be here to support you the outcome is largely in your hands.
Not an Essay Writing Service
I do not write essays, complete assignments, or take exams on your behalf. My role is to help you develop the skills necessary to complete these tasks independently, including offering guidance on structure, content, research methods and writing techniques.
-
True academic success comes from learning how to do the work yourself, so while I’ll provide lots of help and encouragement, the actual writing and thinking need to come from you!
Charges and Payment
-
Payment Due in Arrears: All services are billed in arrears, meaning payment is due after sessions or services have been completed. You will be invoiced for the agreed rate following each session or at regular intervals, depending on what we've discussed.
-
Satisfaction Guarantee: If you’re not completely happy with a session or service, just let me know. I’m happy to waive the fee if you don’t feel it was helpful or valuable to you. Your satisfaction is my priority.
-
Services are charged at the rate agreed upon prior to starting, and this rate will be clearly communicated.
Cancellation Policy
-
Life can be unpredictable and I understand that sometimes plans change. Therefore, either side is free to cancel sessions at any time, including all future sessions, without needing to give a reason. There is no obligation to continue working together if either side feels that it’s no longer a good fit.
-
If possible I appreciate at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations as this helps me plan my schedule.
Feedback and Communication
-
Open and honest communication is key. I encourage you to share feedback on how the mentoring is going — whether you’re thrilled with the results or feel adjustments are needed.
-
If at any point you feel like the support isn’t meeting your needs, please let me know so we can discuss things.
-
I welcome all suggestions on how I can improve my services to better support you.
Limitations of Service
While I’m here to support you on your academic journey, there are some things that fall outside the scope of my services:
-
Not a Replacement for Formal Education: My support does not replace formal teaching or institutional resources. It’s meant to complement your existing educational framework and offer additional support where needed.
-
No Professional or Legal Advice: I do not provide legal, medical, mental health or other professional advice. If you require these services, I encourage you to seek help from qualified professionals in those fields.
-
Not a Crisis Service: If you’re experiencing an academic or personal crisis please seek immediate help from your institution’s support services, a counsellor, or other relevant professionals.
Limitations of Liability
While I aim to provide the best possible support, I am not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages that arise from your use of my services. This includes any academic results, decisions or any other outcomes that occur following our sessions.
Agreement to Terms
By engaging in these services you agree to these terms and conditions. Please note that these terms may be updated occasionally, and it is your responsibility to check this page periodically for any changes to ensure you're comfortable with them.
